To use the Breadboard, we have to understand how the circuit is connected inside the Breadboard. There are 2 columns with + and - signs from the left of you, then there are 5 columns named as a b c d e , then another 5 columns named as f g h i j then again + and - signs. Only the sign lines, along the column has connection . That is, there are 4 column connection along the + and - signs to keep that 4 columns to have independent connections. In case of the alphabet columns, the connections are not in that direction as it has with sign lines. In alphabet columns, the connection exist along the rows which are described by using the numbers from 1 to 30 . Simply, there are 30 rows of conductors. With that, there is a discontinuity between e and f columns that breaks the alphabet columns into two parts as a b c d e remain in one side and f g h i j in other side.
